In high school nothing captured our imagination more than album covers, and those that introduced Frank Frazetta to us were high on the list. Frazetta had a painterly style much inspired by the early masters. And though his works, like those of his elder contemporary Norman Rockwell, were illustrational, the similarities ended there. Frazetta took us to places beyond our imagination with characters and creatures right from the pages of fantasy, fiction, and horror. I loved his work and wanted to share it with everyone so I painted on the back of my denim jacket. Wasn’t long before my friends were asking me to paint their jackets. I’m not sure how many still exist out there but Im sure there are a couple. I still have mine.

So if this reaches any one who has one of these little gems, drop me a line or shoot me a message.

By the way, in high school I wasn’t yet a cynical a hard nosed business man. if you supplied the jacket, I never charged more than $5 to $10 for these…if anything at all.
